so, I know I've been bad blogger lately- what with the new blog (Portland Loves Local) and some other unfortunate and unexpected events, life has sort of gotten away from me. but, I'm back! I've got my rhythem back and I feel like things have started to settle back down- and that feels good!
so, I figure out with the old and in with the new-

Getting my Rhythm Back...
I apologize for being a bit MIA lately- my life has been really out of balance lately, but I'm finally starting to feel on top of things again. everything just sort of happened all at once and my list of things to do spiraled out of control! but, I've been crossing them off one by one and I'm happy to report that I am getting my rhythm back-
in the meantime, I've been working on line sheets for wholesale accounts, which is really exciting, but also lots of work! I've got to take pictures of everything, price, and then create a document sharing all of this information. it's all very good, but very time-consuming as well.
I've also got lots of plans for September, including a big 'Fall Celebration' sale! I will not mention this on my etsy site, but if you're a blog reader, then you'll certainly be "in-the-know".
I will be sharing the details in just a few more days-
but for now, I will leave you with my newest postcard for Fall...

I hope you are all enjoying the first signs of Fall as I am! it is absolutely my favorite season and it's always so beautiful here in Portland-

And Now it is Time to Introduce...

Portland Loves Local- my newest venture and collaboration with photographer, Misha Ashton! I had been thinking about wanting to create a professional blog separate from this one, and Misha had called me with exactly the same idea- except, I was just starting to think about mine and she had hers already planned out! I loved it, though, and now the concept is 'ours'. Portland Loves Local is about everything related to Portland- we will be including artist previews, favorite etsy shops, flickr mosaics, boutiques, and restaurants. we hope it will become your favorite place to find the newest and greatest things that are going on around the city. the blog definitely needs to be fine-tuned a bit as we have some more designing to do before it is ready for its official "grand opening", but we are loving how it looks so far and we hope you do too!

News, news, and more news!
wow- things have been crazy here! there has been so much going on both personally and professionally- I feel like I could write at least three different posts on everything, but instead I'll just be really 'wordy' and try to fill you in the best I can, skipping over all the boring stuff (of course) and sharing the good stuff-
I've been working at a boutique that sells my jewelry, which has forced me to manage my time better, but has also taught me alot about having my own business. the owner, Carla, is incredibly inspiring and so good at what she does! I see her as my mentor and cheerleader and I appreciate her so much for that.
in the meantime, I've been focusing on my jewelry, but I haven't been able to do everything that I've been wanting to- I guess I just needed a little kick in the pants...
and I got one! in just the past few days, my work has been featured on two of my most favorite and also most-read blogs, Decor8 and Creature Comforts! I simply could not believe my eyes when I saw them! thank you, thank you Ez and Marichelle for featuring me- it means so much!
I've been working on my Fall 2009 Collection and I'm really excited about it!
new pieces will be on my website soon, so stay tuned for lots of chains, deep, rich shades of color, and of course, pearls!

in other news, my husband and I spent the better part of last week at the coast and had a wonderful, relaxing little vacation. I've been trying to master my camera and I'm pretty proud of my latest photos- here is a little glimpse of what I saw last weekend-

and here are my favorites-

tomorrow- even more big news that I can't wait to share!!!
